purpose is to prepare
children for where they
are going and not where
they are.
R.E.E.C
recognizes that many
children enter into
their primary school
years without the
fundamental foundation
that prepares them
academically, socially,
intellectually,
physically, and
emotionally thus making
the transition from one
educational program to
another more challenging
to the child who is
unprepared. For others
who have already
acquired a foundation
R.E.E.C
will continue to build
upon the foundation. In
no way do we substitute
academics for much
needed play and social
development. We
recognize that they all
are vital components to
every child's total
development.
School Age Summer
Program
Enrollment Ages 6 -12
years
Our summer program
offers developmentally
appropriate activities
and field trips for all
ages. We continue
to educate through
computer and hands on
activities.

for School Ages that
continue to enhance
their educational
experience through our
Write to Read, Beginners
Spanish, and Earn While
You Learn Program.

We recognize that what we
learn as young people
make a lasting impact on
our lives. Therefore, at
REEC, we believe in the
importance of creating
positive experiences in a
nurturing environment to
enhance their quality of
life as adults.
The program is available
afterschool on each day
that Richmond Public
Schools is in session and
on full days when school
is closed, with the
exception of selected

Things You Want to
Know
R.E.E.C
is located west of the
James, in a culturally
diverse neighborhood
that is reflective in
our center. Our facility
provides colorful rooms
that were designed with
the children in mind.
The colors are warm and
inviting right down to
the bathrooms.
